Maternal & Child Health Services

A healthy lifetime starts with a healthy childhood. Regular health checks and developmental screenings help parents and doctors understand how a child is growing physically, emotionally, and socially. Many developmental delays or health issues are easier to treat when they’re found early. These visits also give families a chance to ask questions, learn about milestones, and get help if something seems off.

TriCounty Health Department is proud to offer programs aimed giving children and their families the necessary tools and support to help make sure children are growing, learning, and staying healthy the way they should.

Ages & Stages Questionnaires (ASQ)
TriCounty Health Department nurses use the Ages and Stages Questionnaires (ASQ) to provide an accurate developmental and social-emotional screening for children between birth and age 6. This screener uses parents’ expert knowledge to evaluate developmental progress and can catch delays in young children.
