Tobacco
TriCounty also monitors and enforces tobacco compliance to ensure that laws and regulations around tobacco sales and use are being followed. This includes making sure that retailers do not sell tobacco products to minors, that products are properly labeled, and that rules about where smoking or vaping is allowed are enforced. Compliance activities may involve inspections, education for retailers, and enforcement actions when violations occur. The goal is to reduce youth access to tobacco, prevent tobacco-related illness, and protect community health.
