Daycare, Preschools, & Schools:

TriCounty Health Department inspects all daycare, preschool, and schools to ensure that the children in our community grow up in healthy and safe environments. All facilities are required to be inspected, hold a current food establishment permit, and be in compliance with state safety, operation, and construction rules to help protect the health and safety of children, staff, and families.

If you are opening a new daycare or preschool, you will need to:
1. Submit a plan review for the appropriate facility
2. Request an inspection from TriCounty Health
3. Apply for a food establishment permit. *Food establishment permits are required for preschools and child care centers
