Dinosaur Statue Installation
Vernal, UT – TriCounty Health Department (TriCHD) is very proud and excited to display the art of talented young residents within the Duchesne and Uintah counties, and to have new symbols that represent ties to the tricounty community.
TriCHD has received and installed four dinosaur statues that were designed by a young adult and children from the community. Last year TriCHD held a coloring contest as part of Dinosaurland’s Passport to Summer where winning drawings were selected as designs for dinosaur statues. The statues now sit outside of TriCHD buildings in Vernal and Roosevelt.
The statues outside of Vernal were designed by Erin Smith and Brix Brady, and the statues outside of Roosevelt were designed by Rayleigh Gillman and Ezekiel Wise. The winning designs were voted on by TriCHD staff based on their creativity, concept, and visual appeal.
The objective behind last year’s contest was to make the health department more familiar to younger residents by offering them the opportunity to create something in their community that would last for many years.
